Who We are

We are a team of professionals specializing in public health, education, and law who are motivated to help ensure equitable medical access for women and children in Ethiopia. The first step in reaching our goal is to establish a medical clinic in Bahirdar, Ethiopia. We chose greater Bahirdar because this area is home to seventeen million people and the majority of this population lives in rural areas. Like much of sub-Saharan Africa, biomedical access is limited in rural Ethiopia. People from rural areas who have the resources would be able to travel to Bahirdar for low-cost medical intervention.

While an extant number of clinics and hospitals already exist in Bahirdar, a need for more medical facilities remains. In particular, there is a critical need for greater intervention in obstetrics and delivery. Our clinic will contribute to this need by providing prenatal care, child delivery, immediate postnatal care, and early childhood exams.
